Amazing amount of money for something distinctly average IMHO.

Bikes were originally electric assist but have been de-electrified, all equipment completely removed and or adapted for non electric use.

Heck of a lot of money for an engine though 😕

So, with battery packs etc, that original price doesn't look so bad. Hardly the bargain the discounted price looks like, mind you.

Slightly slanted marketing on price then!

What this shows you is that a £1200 electric bike is a piece of crap designed to cash-in.

Gash.

Decent electric motor systems are expensive, so to keep the overall price down often the rest of the bike is of pretty low quality.

I agree in principle, but £950? Really?

Idle people that want electric bikes will pay a lot for the pleasure, believe me.

I understand that some people pay more than £1200 for ordinary bikes 🙄

Crc is a company that's loosing my interest rapidly. Deleted the email account with them recently as it never NEVER has anything good in it or anything in stock at a good price. Smaller hungrier companies out there will get my business.
This is a good example.

Oh at least. Even a cheap Chinese battery pack would set you back £300-£400, quite a bit more for branded Sanyo or Panasonic cells. Then custom-made motors, very powerful for their size and weather-sealed aren't cheap. The systems I use are more around the £1500-£2000 mark.
