I'm usually ok with this type of job but I'm struggling here. Does anyone have any tips for replacing the IGUS bushings in Superstar Nano X Evo pedals?
I managed to get the old ones out ok, however so far I've mangled both bushings in different crack handed ways. I probably shouldn't admit to this but:
Bushing 1 got the castellations snapped when I tried to tap it in with socket.
Bushing 2 got split when I tried to use the axle to push it in. Which in retrospect was always going to happen.
Also if anyone has a cheap source for these bushings that would be amazing! I don't need the rest of the service kit for the sake of 2 plastic hoops.
Cheers
They were selling packs of bushings seperately a month ago.

Have you looked on YouTube?
Superstar have a few instruction videos on there.
I bought a length of metal rod of the correct diameter to tap them in with.
I can't remember the size, bit that video might say.
I think they are just 1010 bushings? I've used nukeproof ones when they were cheaper.
Nice one, thanks all.
I did watch the video but its pretty light on details, "12mm bar to tap it back in place"
I figured that a 12mm OD socket would work.
I hadn't spotted those bushing packs, thank you. I'll also check out the nuke proof bushings just in case. I have a feeling that my next CRC order will include those bushing tools, they look just the job for making this a painless task.
STW provides! Thanks again
