As title says, I want to take the Fox Brain shock off my old epic frame. When I turn the larger eyelet, the other side turns as well so it's just turning the whole thru'bolt rather than unscrewing. I don't want to start hitting it with a hammer just yet...

Can you fit another allen key in the back to stop it rotating? It may use a smiler fitting to a crank bolt.
I've checked checked mine (Stumpjumper) and the bolt goes through the frame and into the casing of the brain. If yours is the same it won't be as I described above.

Nope, on the other side there's just a spanner cap which comes off easily enough revealing the threaded end to the shock link on the frame pivot (the thru-bolt).
