Degreaser you would use on your chain.
I use car clutch and brake cleaner. Managed to get oil on a cream coloured cushion when I was back at home a few weeks ago, that shifted that no problem.

GT85 is absolutely the best carpet cleaner EVARR!!!1!!

Every rented place I've ever lived in has seen the end of my days with many bike-related stains all over any and all carpets. A quick (occasionally generous) squirt of GT85 and rub it in/out with a rag. Not sure which way the dirt goes, but who cares, it disappears...

I guarantee you shalln't be disappointed.

I use degreaser...the ones that evaporate after being sprayed. Its amazing how some bike products are very handy around the home: spray degreaser is great for stubborn stains on laminates and other surfaces ๐Ÿ˜€

Well said, Nuke.

Ooh ooh, and from cleaning my bike in various bathtubs I've learnt that Muc-off, whilst being a merely average bike cleaner, is an excellent bathroom cleaner. I mean really first rate at shifty soap scum and grime. Shame it's more expensive than [s]Jif[/s] Cif.

Muc-off is great for alloy wheels as well...it's like Take-A-Break Top Tips on here ๐Ÿ˜‰

Bizarrely I was at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard last weekend and, in the shop there, they have a big Muc-Off display aimed at boat and yacht owners...good for cleaning the hulls and the like apparently

Swarfega. It gets oil off your hands, so why not use it on a carpet?
I saw a Tv prog the other day where a "biker" guy was told to use it on his cooker! it worked really well though.
And shaving foam cleans bathroom tiles brilliantly. Go figure.
