How to determine the correct replacement spoke?

Called into the bike shop I bought my Kenevo from and asked if they would have a spoke for a 2019 27.5 Roval Traverse wheel.

They said no chance unless I could take a spoke or the wheel in and they might be able to match a Sapim that they have in the workshop.

If I didn't want to take the wheel in and order a spoke, would this info be online, or is it a case of careful measurement?

Either. A mm either way doesn’t make a massive difference.

266mm in 2021 sound about right? https://www.bikeperfect.com/news/roval-launches-new-traverse-alloy-wheelset

Take a spoke out, hook the bend over a steel ruler that starts at 0 and see where the other end is

edited: you're measuring the spoke.

Good luck if you wanted to measure the rim though

Measure from under the head of the straight pull spoke or from the bottom of the hubs spoke hole for j bend spokes to the rim then add 3 or 4mm for the spoke to go through the rim bed and 1 or 2mm past the bed, a bit rough but you won't be too far off.

Ask Specialized Customer Service.

Specialized customer service for the roval wheels is legendarily awful mind you, they genuinely just don't seem to have any records of what's what. I got sent 2 different wrong 15mm adaptors for mine frinstance both of which took a month to arrive, and the only reason I managed to find spokes was that Freeborn had got pissed off, ordered in a set of wheels and took it to bits.

So based off of that, I'd remove a spoke and measure it, not just length but also the crosssections with a digital caliper. That might tell you exactly what spoke it is if it's unique, but if it doesn't, it doesn't really matter, just finding another equivalent spoke will be just as good (though, it might vary cosmetically)
