I spent ages last night trying to get my winter mud tyres onto my UST 819 rims.
It appears that the sealant i put inside the tyre has hardened around the bead and therefore isnt seating properly on the rim, which causes serious grief when trying to inflate it with a track pump.
Does anyone have a way of easily cleaning the sealant off the tyre?

For one thing, wash it off when it's still liquid! But once it's on, just rubbing it off with your thumbs seems to be the best way. A scotchbrite pad can shift it too but clogs very fast.

Not sure about when it's dried, but scraping with a Stanley blade is good for removing the congealing sludge that lives inside most of them.
