[#2208834]

My ride yesterday was more akin to cross country gloop skiing than mountain biking.

Trails round here now have a layer of mud over a layer of leaves over a layer of mud over a layer of root-ridden chalk. For some sections I could have dismissed with the services of a front wheel in favour of some sort of snowmobile type ski arrangement. At one point I came to a dead stop, both feet on the pedals and dead upright in the middle of a 2ft deep flooded rut

Character building stuff..... do you think it's possible to get trench foot on a bike?

Do you wear an aero helmet and skinsuit when riding?

mmmmmm..............head down into the frozen wind - aero helment certainly needed now, but you could put something extra on it to make it more functional like a wooly hat?

Oh how pleased I am that I don't live in the clart infested South. This is all I had to wash off after a 24 mile ride in Swaledale yesterday....
