Was going to restore it but the frames to small for me:(
It's a Fire Mountain, paintwork look good from 2 metres although it's obviously could do with a re spray
Project Two forks
Original Araya wheels and exage hubs and tyres
Exage 300 lx group set and biopace sg crankset
Xt v's with deore levers
Lx 8 speed shifters
The rest of the bits aren't original but all functional
Please let me know what you think it's worth or where I could find out.
I can't imagine its worth much
I think my wife had that one. My memory is heavy plane guage tubing
I won't sugest a price as I'm not really in the know
Retro bike is your best place.
£50 to £150 depending on the condition and that all in the frame.
+1 for retrobike. I have a lovely 1995 I think Kilaeua, and while I love it to bits and think it's still a lovely lovely bike, to be honest it's value to anyone else must be minimal...
Thanks for your replies, will check out retro bike
Fire mountain was low range about 300 quid new ?
£400 in 1992 for a Fire Mountain - my first mountain bike! Worth every penny...
What size frame is it?
I'm looking for a new old Kona
Small, I believe it's 16 inches
16 centre to centre or 16 centre to top?
paintwork look good from 2 metres although it's obviously could do with a re spray
So if you stand far away, it looks great, but it's actually ****ed?
I'm going to start using that. "From afar this could be an XC, trail, or Enduro bike, in fact, from far enough away it could be a road bike".
I just tried to email you but got a failure notice. Could you drop me a line please
