About 12 of us heading up to Glentress/Innerleithen for a long weekend in July. Can anybody recommend accommodation? Bunkhouse, log cabins, B&B all considered.

We always stay at the Tontine, great food and staff. Bike storage and bang in the town centre.

Use airBnB to have a look. There's a house in Peebles that I used very cheap for a long weekend good parking area. Didn't sleep 12 though but maybe you could split your party nearby?

We head up there 2 or 3 times a year and always head for the peebles hydro. Good for breakfasts, bar and it has a pool/sauna/steam room. We normally get b&b and use of the pool for £50 a night. If you are riding Glentress you can get there from the Hydro car park.

The Stanes in Innerleithen is great.... Just booked it tonight (about the 6th time) for a weekend in April

Sleeps 6, secure bike storage, bike stand, tools, bike washing kit.

Self catering and everything you want, you can cycle to glentress all off road or under 10 minute drive

Hi 4 of us stayed in Peebles in the Hydra hotel , nice clean and the food was nice

As above you can ride from the hotel one of thecwaiters is a biker he told us about Innerleithen which we visited also a short drive from Peebles

Bikes are kept in the basement looked and secure in a room

Gave fun

Another vote for the Tontine. Very friendly staff, really good food, reasonably priced and accomodating towards bikers.

They have storage, but as friends were renting bikes from Alpine bikes at GTwe were luckily able to store both rented and our own bikes at their shop.

You can easily ride up to the trails from there, so great for longer days/warmer weather when the car park might be busier/you don't feel like loading up a car/van.

We ate at the hotel, but the location is slap bang in town, so great for pubs/food is you have the energy.

Any in Peebles or Innerleithen are also near enough to 'save' the parking costs at GT.

Plus Kalzie is right by the start of the Gypsy Glen climbs 🙂

There's the wooden huts the the bottom of the hill, don't get closer than that.
