I thought about a race where racers complete a lap, dismantle the bike into as many pieces as possible, then reassemble, and ride another lap. Simple rather than fancy would win the day.
Belt drive would be a definite advantage over chain...

I'd go with mechanical knowledge, judging by some of the questions round here a good first lap would get you a podium....
