No. I don't know anyone that uses them. 😉

Mates got a pair - nice to use. Still not sure I would switch from risers.

they feel great - it felt weird going back to 710mm risers recently after a winter on jones / titec bars. good, but weird.

they have pros and cons, but i'm converted. comfy, fast, feel very natural.

stu, you prefer the loops then? just for shifter / brake positioning or anything more to it? cheers. and damnit, i was after a ti h-bar too.. maybe i'll buy a loop then as i have 2 titec 'fakes' )

looks like you need a longer stem on the loops too?

With the H Bar I always seemed to have my hands half on the brake lever clamps when climbing. That doesn't happen with the loop though. There's also room for shifters.
Apart from that there's very little difference. I use the same length stem.

This shows how similar the loop and h are.

Nah, they'll never catch on.

😉

I use the Titec versions, and I find them to be very comfy ... so much so that 'conventional' flats / risers and other alt-bars just feel 'wrong now.

it's a very personal thing. you can pick up Mary bars cheap sh. I liked mine, view feel more comfortable but I think not have more control with regular bars which are comfortable enough.

are the loop bars in alu and steel/ti?

They feel like you're holding onto 2 men at the same time each at a 45° angle to your perpendicular.

the extra loop on the bars is only for the gentleman of "larger girth" who would otherwise bend them.

It's much the same thing as the "biffer brace" extra tube you can see on tubby niche boys ego chariots.

😆

It's a Jones alloy loop bar.
Available from Jeff or Biff for about £80 or you could get the Ti version for a bit more. 😉

Tazz.
That basket's rubbish. I'm having a carpet fiber egobasket built to my own design. 😆

Can anyone verify sizing on the Jones Loop Bar, it seems very difficult to get specific info. My rough conversion from web pics gives me:-

Officially supplied - width CtoC at 667mm, sweep at 45deg, rise at 13mm

Using an imaginary straight line across bottom then overall front to back of 237mm
samepoint to nearside of clamp bulge 103mm
samepoint to farside of clamp bulge 133mm
farside of clamp bulge to nearside of loop inner 82mm
imaginary baseline to nearside of loop inner 215mm
rearward extension on inside below weld point 206mm
rearward extension measured from level with clamp bulge 144mm
width CtoC through middle of clamp line 449mm
width CtoC at base of side weld 395mm
width CtoC at top loop bend 190mm

Are these numbers about right?

hmmmm actually got some loop bars now, i take it all back they're ace with a stiff frontage and make honking up climbs more pleasurable. All I need is a Wok to smuggle and an "look at me, look at me" attitude 😆
