How do I easily make my hope front wheel boost compatible?

So I have a hope pro 4 wheel, non boost size, and I want to make it  become a boost size to fit a new rigid forks.

I know it is a adapter to alter but what works for people effectively.

I do not want to go to great hassle, so ideally no re dishing or wheel faff. As well as keeping the cost down.

All help welcome!

ZTTO Bike Boost Hub Adapter Change 12x142 to 148 15x100 to 110 110 148 Bike Hub Spacer Washer 6 Bolt Standard 15mm Thru Axle - AliExpress

I've used this kind of thing successfully in the past, just don't lose the spacers.

If you remove the front wheel regularly you might prefer the redishing route and different end caps.

That will need a wheel redish.

as above, you’ll need a 5mm spacer on each side of the axle, plus a 5mm spacer for the disc rotor.

For the front wheel I would have thought that swapping end caps is the easiest option.

How does that work then?

Surely you either keep the wheel/hub centred in the fork in which case you need a spacer to move the disc back where it's needed (that Aliexpress link) or you space the right-side of the wheel, disc doesn't move so no spacer for disc but you'll want to redish the wheel so that it's central.

I haven’t got any boost wheels but do have two sets of boost forks. The 5mm spacers work fine, I have not had any problems. I even have two disc spacers for centre lock and six bolt which are fairly cheap. The only very slight drawback is that changing wheels in a hurry can see spacers rolling about the garage floor ( or that might just be my clumsiness!)

I think if you use Hope end caps then they you’ll be fine changing wheels as they just swap for the old end caps. This costs more though

I've had an eBay kit of a spacer both sides and a disposable spacer+ longer rotor bolts on the front wheel for about 5 years.

It's a wee bit faffier when changing the front wheel as you have the two loose spacers to catch. Other than that no problems.

The single sided hope adaptor requires rediahi g the wheel. I bought one 5 years ago and still have the double sided adaptor on.

I have had the spacer setup on a front wheel for ages. Cut a thin strip of gaffer tape to hold the spacers in place then they are less prone to falling off when you remove the wheel or put it back on.

There’s an MRP kit that I had on a Pro2Evo non-boost hub that gives you two slightly wider end caps (so no redishing needed) and a 5mm IS disc spacer with longer bolts. It worked really well, only slight thing is that the end caps aren’t quite as tight a fit as the original Hope ones, but once it’s in the fork and everything is bolted up you don’t notice.

Took me about 20 minutes to do the proper conversion with the hope endcaps. It was only something like one turn on, one turn off. IIRC.

Re-dishing is one of the easier wheel tasks. For that Hope conversion it actually makes the rim sit more centrally on the hub. Quite a nice solution.

I've used the MRP kit and it's been faultless

Thanks for the replies. With the hope conversion do you need a disc adapter or does the reddish remove the need?

The Hope one is just a longer end cap for the non-brake side, so the disc alignment should be the same.

Yup, the Hope 'kit' is a really nice clean solution. The redish is honestly dead simple. Much better than their rear one, which I'd avoid, as I had heaps of issues with the indexing with it.

Yeah, i converted mine from 100 QR to 110x15 Boost, one 15mm end cap and one 15mm +10 end cap. Nothing needed for disc.

I'll second submarined, the hope rear is designed to avoid a redish, and front one requires it, it's a weird arrangement.  I used a wolf tooth rear kit that worked very well - you want your cassette to end up in the correct boose position, not spaced inwards.

On the front I used a hope and did the redish, but the MRP kit above (or a similar design) makes a lot more sense.
