I've got one of the older style batteries with the rubbery weather protection stuff round it. I think the battery lead has broken so want to get into the rubbery stuff to investigate. Anyone know an easy way of getting in without destroying the rubbery stuff?

Just send it back to hope, they will probably fix it FOC.

I returned mine back to HOPE even after the warranty had expired and they replaced it with a reconditioned unit 2 days later...
