Reference earlier post regarding lack of space between hope x2 brake lever and deore shifter can any one tell me which xt or xtr shifters fit with the hope matchmaker clamp and what fits without the hope matchmaker clamp any codes or part numbers would be a great help .I read about removing indicator body anyone tried this is it a good/bad thing to do .

Take the shift indicators off and run them inside the levers.

certain shifters don't fit.
my deore shifter does not fit where i want.
gonna have to get hold of somthing with out a window..
or modify the cover on my deore.
with a hammer. and gaffer tape. 😛
