Anyone using these brakes? Is the a problem using these brakes with certain shifters. Ive read a few reviews by people saying that they foul the action of the shifters, can anyone help or clear this up for me?

yes, and, well sort of

they don't foul the action of my shifters (used with X0, x7, XTR, XT and old 8speed XTR) but they are an arse to position, normally force the shifters into a less-than-optimal position.

doesn't bother me much though but I know someone who sold his pair as he just couldn't stand the position so your results may vary.

If it helps they would be mounted with 10 speed xt shifters. What's a matchmaker btw ?

shimano shifters with the windows on can cause issues but the windows serve no purpose and are renoveable on most models

matchmaker does away with bracket on shifter and replaces bracket on lever which said shifter then mounts directly to,,, if that makes sense.

I have them with XT 10sp shifters - no issues at all

I do have the windows removed though

Well I don't mind removing the shifter windows so that's not a problem hopefully

Removing the windows and using matchmakers sorted out my lever/shifter/grip interface problem nicely.
Once I'd got the right matchmakers..

I run these brakes with 10 speed xt shifters. The only way i could fit them was to remove the windows. As said before the windows are not needed anyhoo.
