Just thought I would post a topic as have just fitted some Hope Tech M4's to my Orange Five. I had bought the New XT levers last year - They have removable optical displays and a cap to cover the mechanism up. The Levers have to go inboard and I also moved the mount on the XT Shifters inboard. Thus you need to remove any optical displays and in the hope kits you do get a sticky black patch to put over any hole if you do not have a cap for them.
Otherwise they are a joy to bleed as the hopes I have owned before. Don't let the current speculations put you off in my opinion unless you have levers that aren't compatible. See hopes website:

hope also make a mount like the matchmaker for sram.
handy.
yeh just seen that - cool - They are lovely looking 😉 esp with the floating saw blade rotors - shame I can't do them justice when I ride them 😉 Bring on the summer!
I got a set of tech X2s on Saturday - they fit fine with my xtr triggers. Never got the need for optical gear displays anyway so Hope is doing us all a favour!
In any case - are these not the most lovely looking and best performing bits of kit you can get for your bike? They look and feel awesome. Am well pleased after coming from running xtr brakes for 4 years. The Hopes feel so much more solid and so much more like a quality product... and finally they have a lever that doesnt rattle 🙂
Good old British engineering 🙂

I would have to agree STS but maybe other may not? 😉
Who cares what others think - at least we know we're right 😉
