Has anyone managed to get this setup to work or is it just pushing a short cage mech to far? 40t T Rex and Sram short cage type 2 mech (With a 30t upfront)
Looking at the Sram technical documents it would suggest this way exceeds the maximum tooth capacity of the mech (25). It has been working fine with an 11-36 but just won't set up right with the 40t.
I'm thing a medium cage is probably required, but interested to know if anyone has had any success?
It's pushing the limits with a medium cage on a bike with any significant chain growth so there's no way you'll get a short cage to work, sorry.
With that ratio you may aswell walk you lazy.....
