Hey,

I recently acquired some EBC organic pads for my V4s. I remembered EBC being decent, but theyre pretty weak.

I've got some Hope Sintered pads in my spares box - before I pop them on - are they decent for sintered? I've always run the Hope Organics, which are amaze.

Cheers!

Ricks

I usually switch to sintered in the winter because the dark peak is so abrasive.

First ride out and I question the wisdom of that decision, but by the end if the ride, either they've improved, or I've adapted (or a bit if both).

Stick them in, but either do the first ride in the dry or take the time to bed them in properly.

They take a while to bed in fully (sometimes a few rides!) but when they are fully bedded in they are great and last seemingly forever. I've tried a few different pads over the years in my E4's and the Hope sintered are by far the best.

They last in my experience twice as long as Uber bike sintered, that's at least a full winter for me plus another 3 months or so riding in Peaks, Calderdale.

Uber race matrix have more bite from cold but imo it's pointless trying anything other than OEM sintered especially if like me you cba checking pads every few rides.

I've been running organic in my Hope E4 for the last few years but currently on Sintered (over this summer/now). Genuine hope pads.

I've found the sintered less predictable - they sometimes feel really weak (as if they're contaminated) at the start of a ride but once they're warmed up feel good. Almost like they only work reliably and consistently when they're hot.
