Just put some Mono M4's on, I have some wavey rotors I want to use which are, I presume, 163 and 183. They are marginally rubbing the calliper so am I right in assuming that I hould be using 160 and 180?
If so, is there any way I can get them to fit (adaptors etc) without replacing the rotors?
where are they rubbing?
Are you using post mount or IS mount?
is mount, not rubbing the pads, rubbing the back of the caliper
As it's a hope, you should have a A-J stage for the Postmount caliper to sit on. Check out which letter is cnc'd into them, and then check out the adapters on the Hope website. If they re the right ones, get some washers from your LBS and should be fine (placing them between adapter and caliper), otherwise you need to get some new adapters per the specs shown on the hope site. Hope that helps
Washers, and pack it out
Mono M4's use 180 or 160 rotors as your guessed
thanks for the replies
IS mount M4 uses 180, post mounts will use 183. As said above, trawling Hopes site for adapters should net you something usable, but I don't think they did wavey discs in those sizes(unless you mean sawtooth rotors), the waveys were for Minis in 185/165mm.
Personally, i'd look for Shimano XT rotors in the correct size, as i've recently found the profile of the Hope rotors to cause brake judder on my own bike(cured with XTs).
Is is to is, guess I will need new 180 rotor
