You know when you buy a Hope wheel and theres a roll of tape in the box.
Just how much is on it ?. As in I do one complete wrap, with a bit of overlay at the end, but there seems a fair bit left and im wondering if it would do two rims.
I dont want to make a start and find out it is short and have to peel it back off. But just wondering if anyone had tried to and found it was ok for two
Test by wrapping it using the not sticky side first, if the sticky side doesn’t have a backing? Would need to be around 2m for a 29” wheel.
That said, If it came pre packed with a single wheel, I doubt it would cover 2x, seems a waste from hopes point of view.
It will two full wraps of a 26" wheel with some left over
If it's too short, is peeling it back, or just leaving it where it ends, that awful? It's not like you've wasted the tape, it was too short for anything else.
If I remember correctly, the roll that used to come with a wheel kit was 10 yards so if they do special single wheel rolls, there's a good chance it's 5 yards.
Tape that came with rear hope wheel a couple of weeks ago did 2 x 27.5 wheels with a some left over
It will do 2 29ers with plenty spare (assuming about a 6 inch overlap).
