Nobody would think I've been riding bikes for 15 plus years with the amount of knowledge I have, or lack of is a better way to put it.

Always had excellent advice here so back again to spam with basic cycle advice.

I've just bought Hope Pro4 wheels front and rear and I've not put them near my bike yet but can already see the axle(?) is too small. Have I bought the wrong ones? Do I need to purchase something else or can I swap my current quick release and rear Maxle out using these parts that were provided? Best to go to the LBS? Cheers all.

Always find upgrading such a stress with so many options and then the options having their own options and them having options too. I haven't got a clue how I'd even undo the part holding the current axle in place.

Pull the QR adaptors off the axle, then push the other adaptors (in your hand) on to the axle.

the end caps fitted just pull out and then just replace them with the others you are holding.

As above the QR should pull out. Otherwise are you happy. I'm trying to decide enduro over xc and the hub colour, if only they still did gunsmoke I'd have bought already

Haha I cant believe how simple that was. Legends! And all they had to do was include a simple sentance to explain for idiots like me ๐Ÿ˜†

@ whatyadoinsucka - I would've gone gunsmoke as well! I went Enduro, really light to be fair

@ ctrl the way I have smashed up wheels in the past I think I'll go enduro too only an extra 250grams, same weight as my Crossride mavic, but hopefully far tougher

mine are enduro and i have damaged the rear quite badly in no time at all.
in all fairness though i'd be surprised if any wheel had stood up to the hit that did the damage, it also destroyed a 4 ride old tyre
