Didn't realise you have to reseal the freehub, I just twisted the freehub back on like the original XC hubs - no popping the seal back on or anything.

All seems to be running fine and free.

Should I take it apart to reseal it or can I just leave it?

Doubtful that it's seated itself properly, have you actually fitted it back on the bike? It'll spin freely without the seal located, until it's put under pressure across the end caps.

Or is the seal worn out? Stripped mine to replace bearings and the freehub went back on with no resistance and no pop. Replaced the seal and the satisfying pop came back again. I did use it in the meantime - it "worked" ok but I guessed it probably wasn't providing a good seal. The seal is just a couple of quid.
