Levers are about 5 years old and work really well with their calipers. They wobble though, and are not noisy but annoyingly rattly.
It seems that the wobble is around the main pivot of the lever.
What can I do?
give hope a call? Will probably know exactly what to replace.
Try sliding a small thin washer in either above or below the lever. The ones that shim caliper mounts on the IS type of fixing, not the post mount ones...

have the levers bent the main pivot point? is there lots of play?
could take the levers out and place the pivot point in a vice to gently close the gap again.

It's cast alloy IIRC - I wouldn't try that
They all do it eventually, all mine have anyway
The brass bush has probably worn, I cant seem to find any online, you might have to buy a service kit. 5 years is pretty old for the originals. Mine have been replaced twice in 3 years.
can i take out the lever from the pivot without opening things up and getting brake oil everywhere? if i can't then it's an LBS job.
superfli, what did you do to need to replace levers twice in 3 years??

yes
Hi
Bought my 09 ones and they had a bit too much wobble. I gently tightened the allen bolt that secures the lever to the main body and it reduced it quite a lot.
I think pre 09 ones might be the same ... its an allen bolt from the top, nut underneath.
Dont overtighten otherwise the lever binds but a slight amount made a big difference.

I thought they were supposed to wobble! All the Hope levers i've had have wobbled and still do ๐
yep, would agree they do ... and when your stationary it seems much worse ... don't really notice it when riding ... but probably like OP .. mine had a bit too much.
Didn't replace lever, replaced brass bush
What rickmeister said. I did this with my m4s, worked a treat
^^^ And its almost free and immediate....

hope lever rattle is a design feature....it's what makes them 'ope.
