I'm in the market for some new wheels, however, there's some deals on hope/stans @ crc and I'm wondering whether to go that route or try the new hope enduro rim they're now selling !..
Anyone any opinions or know of any deals ?..
I'm in the same position. Had flows in the past and found them to be superb. I think I'm leaning towards flow ex as they are 2.2mm wider so will have a nicer tyre footprint and they are marginally lighter once built up.
Like the idea off crossmax eduro but yellow is a no go and 19mm rear wheel is far too narrow.
Chinese carbon rims seem to be great value and light but read a few recent post of them breaking quite easily.
Clearly, I'm still not sure what to buy...
Cheapest places i've found for hope wheels are rush cycles, freeborn and wicked cycles
Hi after much searching I'm going for flow ex,s as I want the wider profile from freeborn.
Go for Rigida Trace Enduro rim, they are sweet and wide. 29mm internal, and light 440gr for a 26".
Just received a wheel set with these rims for Trans Savoie, will get them tested this week
Jees another option . Any deals on wheelsets? 🙂
Bought them at www.actionsports.de custom build after my whishes, they have plenty of option to choose from.
400€ inc Shipping for a set of. Hope pro evo2 hubs. Sapim d-light spokes. Brass nipples and trace Enduro rim
Front wheel 825gr rear 945 gr.
Ive made a descision and gone for the Hope endure, yes theyre narrower, however the extrusion is thicker so stronger !,Hope know what theyre doing with r&d,they've been developing them on DH for 2 years....
I don't think you can go wrong with either of them!
Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the Hope though (especially weight).
So hope doing their own rims, does this mean the end of bargaintastic stans hope hoops?
Hope not, their enduro rims are q fair bit heavier
