Got a 05-06 Hope headset. The race was damaged so decided to get a new one. Ordered the pre 2007 race, it's arrived and it's a split race. The original was not split.
Is this correct in anyone's experience?

Yes, both are compatible, I had the same question when I ordered a replacement, fits fine-just makes installation easier.

changed to split race a good few years ago, the old ones were a bugger to remove without damaging
