Anyone know how much Hope would charge to service a set of old school Hope mono M4's and get em working sweet as a nut again?
Cheers
Lbs that's a tech shop charged 15 quid plus parts.. My bill was 25 all in, posted it there And back...
Sent my Hope Mini Monos to Hope for a service last Nov and it cost me £85! Was quite a shock, but they do feel like new (not that I've ever had a pair of new brakes!)
I think it will be about 100 quid for a set of m4s that includes all pistons seals and pads replaced and a full. strip and rebuild
you could do it yourself
dot. fluid 7 quid
pistons 24 quid
seals 12 quid
pads 20 quid
bore cap tools, circlup pliers 18 quid
someone off here's done a really good set of guides for doing it yourself
either way its worth it
Thanks for the info all. Think I'm gonna try and do it myself then I'll know for the future!
Cheers
Never touched the levers, but did my Mono Mini calipers which I guess would be a similar process.
All very straightforward, had a bit of trouble removing one of the stuck pistons but otherwise it was simple.
Here's the guide I followed...

You just have to be a little careful when fitting the pistons into the calliper, not to roll the seal, it seems to feel ok for a ride or two, then the piston starts sticking.
Thanks for the info and advice everyone. I need all the help I can get when it comes to brakes!
Cheers
