Bash virgin here so which is the preferable size for a 38t chainring, the 36-38t or the 40t model?
Its intended for a 2x10 setup with a blackspire stinger. Front mech is 2x10 specific.
Logic would suggest the 36-38t but I'm wondering if the slightly larger diameter of the 40t would be better?

Go for the 36-38t version mate. It's the correct one for your ratio.
