Older Hope BBs were easy to knock the bearing out of and replace - there was a lip where you could access the bearing at the back and tap it out.
No lip on the 30mm one though, the bearing is flush with the cup. Anyone done a swap? Am guessing I can tap something in between bearing and cup and lever it out, but don't want to end up with a damanged cup. Am I better off getting a proper bearing puller?
Pretty sure there is a small groove in the cup that you can get a punch against. I didn't have any problems when I swapped mine out
Give it a good clean and have a proper look.
Actual bearing puller for the win, but can be done without

I use a wheels manufacturing 6806 bearing extractor on my raceface bb but the bearings on the hope should be the same size 42 x 30 x 7mm. The extractor fits in the internal diameter of the bearing and is then tightening up allowing you to tap out with a hammer. You don’t even have to remove the bearing cups from the frame and takes minutes to change both sides. I got mine from eBay for around £15
Thanks Carlos/Duke, that's really helpful
