Coming up to that time again to renew just had my pedal cover quote come with a 50% increase on last year without any claims. So just asking who are people using that can cover two ebikes

Nationwide - just open a free/dormant current account before you buy to save iirc 25%.

Specified items with esure, prior to that with Aviva, who were excellent when I wrote off my Condor.

Renewal is next month and I really MUST double check the replacement cost of them all, I suspect with price rises in the last year or two I am badly underinsured.

Marks and Spencer. Just need to tell them your most expensive bike and then all bikes are covered up to that.

Sainsbury’s here, added specified  bike cover at home and away from home and premium didn’t change much.

TSB Pick and Protect. You can choose just the cycle element to supplement existing insurance if you want to (my existing insurance only offers £1k cover per bike)

Bookmarked this thread. Am also with Pedalcover and while my premium didn't rocket last year, the cover lost a couple of very key items:

1. You no longer just give the most expensive bike and it covers the lot - they all had to be itemised. PITA when you have a constantly changing library of bikes

2. Theft away from home now specifically requires a "gold standard" lock. OK, so I was never going to chain up a ten grand road bike on the railings outside KingsX with a cable lock, but one of the reasons I liked this cover was for some degree of protection when out on a ride and the bike was parked up outside a rural cafe with nothing more than a rubbish cafe lock to stop someone walking away. Ain't no way I'm carrying 5kg of D-lock, so it effectively means that this bit of the cover is worthless to me now.

Definitely going to shop around when it's up for renewal this year.

About to go through renewal of ours in the next couple of weeks.

Until this time last year we'd been with Pedalcover but the renewal went stratospheric despite no changes in our circumstances. Worked out best for us separating out home/contents with a generic provider found via the usual price comparison sites (more freedom not having to worry about their Ts & Cs around expensive bikes), then taking a separate policy with Barclays specifically for the bikes. Barclays renewal for the next 12 months is cheaper than last year, but our home/contents renewal from Churchill has gone up a LOT so I'll shopping around again.

Aviva/Cycle Plan here - half the price of everyone else and seemingly, actual proper cover.
