Need to put a new bb in my road bike and have a spare XT one. Will it fit the ultegra cranks ok, as not sure whether they're interchangeable?

think so but not road on an mtb due to shorter threads??

I think roadie cups are shallower so you're crank axle won't reach through enough the other side

Road cups are 1mm wider IIRC.
