Just back from the course. It is running fast. Most of the singletrack is like concrete, there is a bit of "give" on the approach to The Endura Free Fall (formerly The Chin) and The Field Of Despair [b][u]will[/b][/u] cut up.
Decided to go for the 45° angle line up this.

Quick question - this is my first event of this or any other type - will i need to carry drinks bottles with me or will there be some sort of drinks points en route?

You will need at carry water unless it's changed this year.
