Last Feb's was. This Feb's will have double the capacity so people won't have to turn up at my front door with £10 notes and get upset when I tell them to clear off.

there will be a summer one too. It'll be big. But not as big as the first one we did.

But yeh, we're doing it again.

20th Feb 2010 (obviously that's the winter race).

I'm posting this here and bugger the consequences.

Neil, it's not full. We've not even opened the entry yet.
Sorry - the "we're full!" proclaimation on the website needs taking off cos it pertains to the last one.

I shall be doing it again this time, only with a cross bike and not a MTB too awkward to carry up those bl**dy steps.

And I've now resolved why I was riding along coughing my guts up all the time - I have asthma..!

Oh, and please make sure it's a nice clear day like it was and the soup kicthen is back.

That sounds like the worlds worst nightclub.

Any idea who the 'turn' is going to be this year?

It worked last time.

The CX have the speed, the MTBs have the endurance.

Cheers Neil.

Juan, we have a new and fancy sponsor who will be unveiled shortly. It isn't SCC however. Not that I have anything against SSC, they supported us at the 2008 race and made a donation to charity.

February, eh? well since I can't afford to ski in february even in a good year, I might be able to make this one. Will be taking photos and drinking beer though rather than racing. I'll need a preview ride so I can recce the course and choose a suitable location, will there be preview rides? Can you publicise them on here? ta 😉

Andrew, if you need any help with either of the events mate let me know. Not sure if you're aware but events are what I do for a living. Used to organise big club nights for 3000+ people and now organise conferences, awards ceremonies, product launches - we're doing the TUC in Liverpool at the moment.

More than happy to help & get involved in my spare time.

George

yes that's him. the undeserved 3rd place. i was in fact 3rd for most of the race, but my front tyre slid out on the last lap down by the pond/lake. it wasn't a bad fall i just hit my head. got back up and started to pedal straight away but then went dizzy and had to stop for a couple of minutes whilst i regained my vision. saw this guy fly past and tried to chase him down but ran out of course.

cx bikes all the way. Nothing that you need any form of suspension for, as I remember, and everyone on a cross went past me, so that must be the secret to success.... 😉
