Any of the locals following the sale of Dukeshouse Woods from the Duke of Northumberland?
Its being purchased by a "local community group" according to The Courant, I'm not sure who, for the continued use of the, well, community. Apparently Ted Liddle of IMBA is hoping to get involved to get some waymarked routes incorporated into the woods. I'm very aware a softly-softly approach is going to be needed to keep the biking access as open as it is now, once the management of the woods ends up in the hands of a committee of dog-walkers.
If anyone knows any more about it or has ideas etc, I'd appreciate you sharing them.
