He may be a genius. Look at the drivetrain! And the thudbuster. And the shocks.

What the hell is going on there. What's the extra chain for? Is that a flux capacitor in the middle of the frame?

Oh god two calipers on the rear wheel.

And is that a secondary set of dampers on the swingarm? That's not stock, right? 🙂

Oh there's more photos! Yes, two calipers daisy-chained. That's actually quite impressive.

Found the picture from the drive side so can actually see what the chain is doing. Is that a gearbox or something equally mental?

This certainly rewards further inspection, it's almost fractal. Batshitcrazyception, if you will.

The guy runs a second hand shop probably tried some of the crack that his customers bring the stuff the stole in for.

It's very colour coordinated.

Wait, hang on a minute...

how much of the stanchions remain in the lowers? No wonder the paint doesn't rub off!

I've only just noticed the front mudguard is mounted backwards with the hanging tag still attached.

Very amusing, but it does make you wonder where he acquired it from.

Rotors are the wrong way round.

Were the photos taken in Cash Converters, right after they told him to **** off?

What on earth is that extra piston arm doing mounted behind the saddle doing?

This is glorious. I looked at it. Laughed. Decided to have another look and was lost in wonder and bemusement.

Love the twin floating brake arms for the rear Where one would have achieved the same result.

No idea what is going on with the drivetrain. Slightly impressed if it actually moves. Not that it appears to offer any benefits other than radness.

Is there some sort of sub-culture of impractical heavily customised bikes with dramatic paint jobs and useless bits stuck on that I'm not aware of, a bit like custom cars? Or did he just have a job lot of gas struts he wanted to find a use for?

Maybe we should all club together to buy it, just so we can figure out what the hell he's done to it. 😀

Not all of you - you could only make about 3 bikes out of that

I still love it. It makes me think of scooters covered in mirrors, or those mad japanese minivans with the huge bodykits- more sculpture than bike.

Noticed something else...
The rear brake calipers are attached with thumb bolts.

Also the "floating" calipers can't actually float as the QR skewer goes through the bit that the brakes are attached to.

It just keeps giving!

It's got 2 chains, 1 enclosed and the other linking to the rear wheel. Is there some sort of gear assembly in the enclosed one, it has a cable going to it. With 3 gears there.

That's modern art that is. The whole Ad and the creation in white red and grey.
Preposterously brilliant.

But the biggest question is, who will own up to being the bike specialist/specialised (sic) who guided the description and valued it for him?

No questions on the ad?
Surely there are many?

The description says " no ridiculous offers".
So if I offer the full asking price of £1600 it will get rejected?

Dual pistons are awesome. I now know why my tailgate doesn't stay open.

I'd happily pay a tenner to have a good look at it and a ride up and down the road. It's fascinating like one of those Heath Robinson pictures

The pics seem to be taken in one of those cash convertor places, looks like it's traded in.

can't help but think someone has put an enormous amount of effort into that, which makes me think -
Who are they?
What other project have they got on the go that they traded this in to get funds for...

This really is the gift that just keeps giving.

There's not actually a cassette on the back. A full long cage mech but no cassette.

It's a geared hub in the frame, isn't it, driving a singlespeed rear wheel? I love the idea but the reality is disturbing.

I'm no engineer but it looks mental.

Listing has ended so maybe some crazy person has bought it...
