i have a on-one inbred frame with ridgid forks im building it up for road and light off road use, i have drop bars and dia compe 287v road brake levers,i want to fit a cable disc brake 160mm for the back and 180mm for the front i have seen gusset chute and avid BB7's but what is best for a heavy rider about 19 stone, there seems so many choices for bb7 like road and mtb and different sized rotors.matt
BB7 mtb brakes will work fine with those levers and they are about the best cable discs you can buy. You won't have any issues with the weight either, there are a few bigger riders using them.
You will probably want a very short stem on the inbred if you are running drops, I had one set up like that a few years back and it was fairly long in the top tube, resulting in a fair amount of reach to the hoods.
thanks for your reply
