I'm trying to fit a crown race to an F8 rigid fork. With my previous Rockshox forks the crown race just needed a tap down with the crown race tool. With the F8 it's going on at an angle and won't seat however hard I hit the fitter; I'm starting to scar the race.
Do I just keep whacking it until it seats or is there a more subtle approach?
