Right, bear with me.
I have a Voodoo wanga SS. It has an On One SS rear wheel and Hope mono mini brakes - 145 on rear.
The problem I have is that the rear brake rubs, not loads but enough. Now when I built the bike I tried to get the caliper as far inboard as poss to avoid it rubbing using the spacing washers. However if I have it any further over the caliper fouls the spokes. I have been told that I can shim the disc a bit using spacer washers behind it. This seems feasable to me but before I do it I thought I would ask [s]the great unwashed[/s] the combined intellect of STW their thoughts. Is there another method? Am I an idiot?
My mini rear is very close to the spokes so it doesnt surprise me. You can buy the disc spacers from CRC IIRC and it should be no problem, assuming you're sure you have all mounted as normal you have very little other choice?
Is the disc central in the slot in the calliper? Thats what you should be aiming for.
You can get spacers to space the disc out - I have one on the tandem
I run mine with a rotor spacer, though you can just use separate spacers (more faff)
Ok, thanks all. Appreciate it.
If you space it out make sure the rotor bolts are long enough..
