[#496667]

I'm trying to get a front derailleur for a specialised stumpjumper 2008, its listed on the web site as a 'm770 dmd', it fits onto a plate which mounts on the chainstay swing arm. I tried ordering a SLX dmd but this came with a forged mount above the derailleur to fit a braze on attachment.

Can you fit an e type mech or can anyone suggest a shop which has any of these in stock?

Cheers,

Gareth

Not really sure from your description what you're looking for, but E-type mechs have a plate mounting system with a large hole in it that the bottom bracket axle assembly fits through and clamps to the frame with (later types also bolt on to a boss on the seat tube as well.), if this sounds like yours then yes, you need an E-type mech.
