So, I am sure many of you have had this predicament.
Been MTBing since way back & finally took the plunge & bought a 29er hardtail.
Turns out its just better than my other 26er hardtails, not just because of the wheel size but this is the main factor.
I have two nice 26ers, one ti & one fillet brazed steel niceness.
I just won't use them & could do with the space but am struggling with the prospect of selling them.
What would you do or what have you done?
Cheers

Sell immediately. Pointless hanging onto them until they are worthless.

And use some of the proceeds to get something nice for the 29er. Nice wheelset or similar then it'll soften the blow.

It depends on what the three bikes are like. Is one more of a long travel frame? Is one more racey? If they're all pretty similar then yes, get rid. If there's not too much over!ap between them then enjoy having the bikes for different styles / types of ride.

Loved my 26" HT but it was surplus to requirements as soon as I rode my 29er.

I been there, and have sold my 26 FS, that I thought I'd never part with. Have a couple of others than need to go too, but there almost worthless according today market. That said, I'll be better of with what little I can get from them, rather than have them sitting in the garage taking up space

People keep saying this but I've yet to see any nice 26" kit at next to worthless prices...

Op, your old bikes are almost worthless. As a favour to you I'll take them off your hands for five English pounds.

Keep them until "new bike fever" has worn off and you realise that you loved them all along.

If you're still, for reasons beyond my comprehension, still sold on the 29er after a couple of months then sell them. No point having expensive things sitting about doing nothing.

Although personally I'd sell one at a time least favourite first just in case you have a sudden change of heart. Have always sold my old bike as soon as happy with current, but then I'm happy only having one bike unlike some.
