Hi chaps,
I've been trying to find a helmet that works with sunglasses, but really struggling. Needs to be decent protection for DH runs and Enduro trails... I've tried...
Met Roam
Troy Lee A1
Endura mt500 (fits but uncomfortable lack of padding)
Bell Super 2
Poc Tectal
All of these the glasses arms hit against the temple protection.
Any other suggestions?
Cheers
Ricks
Giro Montaro is the obvious omission from that list. iirc fitting glasses was partner the design, it certainly works for me (of course buying Giro, kinda, does mean you’re supporting the NRA these days)
Never had a problem with Fox Flux
Is it always the same pair of sunglasses?
Montaro and Switchblade work for me, along with most other lids though may I suggest it could be your head or glasses that are the issue? Just tried the montaro with sunnies on and the arms slide in fine.
I use the Bell Super with glasses all the time with no problem. Sorry i know that's not helpful... What glasses are you using?
Parachute works
Oakley jawbreakers allow you to shorten the arms, work very well with many helmets where I've had issues with other glasses.
I found the poc tactal fouled my Oakley racing jackets (jawbones) but they're fine with the giro montaro, it's just the pads I need to watch out for.
Bell Super, TLD A1, Giro Hex, Bluegrass Goldeneye and Scott Stego have all worked for me with various glasses.
Every helmet I've owned is fine with glasses. Currently using the Bell Super 3. Maybe it's your glasses rather than helmet that's the issue? I've been using Rydon from Rudy for a long time.
no issues with my helmets - some are harder to slip the legs in but no comfort issues.
661 recon
661 comp
met parachute
leatt dbx 6.0
Sweet bushwhacker with adidas evil eye works just fine.
Troy Lee A1 here works fine with Oakley five squared and flak jackets.
I am using a Bell Super 2. Works fine with Oakley Split Jackets, which I wear all the time (day and night riding) as they are optically corrected for my short sighted-ness and have that photocromatic thing (not sure if that is what it is called but they get darker/lighter).
My Specialized lid does bounce around sometimes when I have got a light on top and knocks the glasses.
I have always found Giro helmets very comfortable (although now don't own one). Worth getting down to a shop with glasses in tow and see what works on your head.
Kask Rex and foakley Jawbreakers for me, never had any issues, also really like the leather chin strap. Light and well ventilated too.
Urge All-M works well enough for me, if we're talking open-face helmets here.
You wouldn't wear a full-facer with sunnies, would you?

Only when your going #FullEnduro #SomeDaysItWorks
I use the bell super and endura MT500
the MT500 works better with glasses but i think the bell is a better lid. Time will tell. The padding on the MT500 is actually ok. However being folically challenged it looks like ive been run over when i take it off. The flip side is the bell super stays wet from sweat for ages where as the MT500 drys quickly.

I'm blind without my glasses so I kinda have to wear them lol
The giro chronicle works well for me - I wear it with Oakley half jackets that have prescription lenses in. I think it looks pretty cool and it’s quite a lot lighter than the Troy Lee a1 my mate uses.
Building on a few of the responses, have you tried different glasses frames? Ages ago I found a new helmet that was great in every other way didn’t work with my usual sunglasses. Changing my choice of glasses worked. Obviously glasses aren’t cheap but if you’re considering POC, TLD etc then it’s got to be an avenue worth exploring.

Joking aside, Lazer Revolution...it is a nice fit and seems to work with my Oakley frames but only if both are positioned properly I.e. Glasses sitting correctly on my head.
I have Oakley prescription glasses. Never again. Stupid stick out longways arm catch on everything and don't hold securely. Shit design.
My head is probably the issue! Lids sit very low on me, which means theyre pretty good with protection coverage, but glasses foul against the lid.
I've tried a few pairs of glasses, my main pair are Jawbones, but the lowest profile ones are Endura pirhanas, which work well with the mt500.
7idp M2 . I've never had a problem wearing various styles of glasses.
Lomo Polarised glasses work with POC Tectal and Octal.
POC glasses and goggles are designed to work with POC helmets. I use them and they do!
Oakley M frames work well with POC too but Radar's not so much.
Cheers
