My night ride helmet is in need of replacement. I’ve an exposure diablo which I use as a helmet light and would want to keep on using. However, am struggling to find a helmet that will work with the mounting system.
any other users of exposure helmet lights, recommend what you use?

thanks

I use a gopro mount for my helmet light. Was real
Skeptical of the sticky pads holding at first but the only time I’ve put a new one on was when I bought a new helmet. It’s quicker to mount then the one that clamps through the helmet

Never had a problem fitting the brackets to a normally vented helmet? Kask, Lazer and Smith at the moment

Giro Chronicle for me and my Zenith. Bracket needs to be at the front of the top vent and angled slightly but otherwise spot on. Not everyone suits Giro lids but they work well with my (unnaturally large) head.

Actually... thats a lie.
I had a problem with one helmet but that was because it didn't have a centralised vent so the mount would have been off to one side.

GoPro mount and adapter. My current Giro I've trimmed the sides of the GoPro stick on mount so it fits in the recessed strip up the middle of the helmet and it's far better than the standard bolt through the vent mounting.

I should say I’ve never had a problem with the mount that clamps through a vent, it’s more that I think the gopro mount is better! Sticky pad stays on all year, light mount doesn’t actually get unclipped from my Diablo, just put it straight on

endura mt500 comes with a mount that will take a diablo.

The singletrack helmet can also take the mount but doesn't come with it like it does with the mt500

Kask Rex will take a GoPro mount, so that and the Exposure adapter.

Giro Chronicle works fine with the standard exposure mount. Although I’m not a massive fan of the mount tbh.

There is a stick on gopro mount on the helmet as well that I’ve used for lights and gopro - tempted to try some kind of adapter to see if the axis works well on there when autumn night riding arrives

Another Giro Chronicle here. Mount fits on fine. I find it a bit too easy to knock out of line but that's the mount itself rather than anything to do with the helmet.

Bell Super Air R mounts fine for my Axis. Trouble is the mount is on the top of the helmet, so the visor will cast a shadow which makes it useless for technical riding.

Giro Chronicle here too. Top central hole works perfect for my Exposure Joystick.

If you've got plans to buy a MIPS Spherical, work out how your light will mount first 🙂

Why was this a problem ? Functions just fine like this. Both my specialised helmets mount my use light like this and it's fine

I have a Bontrager helmet and it has a magnetic helmet mount that is really neat and takes a GoPro mount Bontrager helmet mount
It is really secure but would come off in a nasty crash.
