I've a 56cm head, which is either a small, or extra small, or childrens size (!)
Most, if not all new helmets look very mushroomy on me, which is crap.

Back in the day (when all this was fields...) the only helmets I could find that were low pro enough not to look daft was the specialized sub 6, but that looked daft anyway cos it made you look like an alien.

Currently have an aging Giro E2, whch is really past its use by, so should be replaced. Anything quite lo pro? don't mind roadie helmets, not keen on enduro ones though.

maybe I just need to deal with the look of wrap around polystyrene though...:-/

I to have a tiny head and am thoroughly loving my ixs trail rs helmet. No helmet has fitted so well.

I've a pin head and any Giro helmet suits me the best, non-mushroomy. I've had 4 different favours - both MTB and roadie ones - of Giro and they have all fitted (Small). Also have a Louis Garneau one from Evans

I was always in the small Hex camp, much prefer the iXS for fit.
