hello lookiing to add some more heli tape to frame but the frame needs to be 'clean' and grease free..............so what is the best cleaning substance?
Was thinking disc brake spray cleaner?

Or Isopropyl alchol.If you order from helitape.co.uk they send some f.o.c wipes with your order marked up as surgical wipes which are isopropyl treated.
Also available from chemists.

IPA (Iso Propanol Alcohol)is a great cleaner. Chemist will sell it to you. Good for cleaning DVD/CD as well which may be another source but probably more expensive.

Brake cleaner may be a bit strong depending what is in it.

Search for the user 'Duane' on here, think he runs Helitape and sometimes posts up with heli tape etc for sale.Might be a deal to be had ? 🙄

Surgical wipes often contain 30% other stuff (mainly posh bleach) but places such as Maplins sell spray cans & 1ltr tins of pure IPA used for cleaning electronics, pretty cheap and you dont have to convince the lady behind counter your not on smack.

Duane, wots the current price for 2 metres of your tape posted.
I covered my frame earlier this year in your tape but the frame broke (nothing to do with the tape lol ) 😆
