I do mostly trail riding and have a fox 32 vanilla float rlc with 130mm of travel. Is the 36 going to make my ride much better and which one should I get??

I wouldn't bother.

Get some RS revelations instead. At least you won't get bushing slop which Fox think is perfectly fine.

I have a Heckler with some fox 36 rc's, cornering is much better than 32's which i have on a trek ex8.
The forks will allow you to hold lines much better and suit the heckler just fine.

My original heckler came with TALAS 36's (20mm Bolt) awesome for stiffness and plushness (with capital shhhh). Swapped around with some 35mm bombers (150mm) and was also good and plush but not stiff ๐Ÿ™

New Heckler has 160mm bombers with 20mm bolt and is brilliant, however somebody just let me have a bounce on some new 160mm TALAS 36's and I'm saving!!

I've got the same model Heckler.

I changed my Vanillas for a set of Pikes

Pikes and Hecklers go well together if you can find a set.

Also I think the 36s have too much travel for the specification of that model of Heckler. ALthough Santa Cruz told me it would probably be alright.

Sorted for 160mm according to the brochure - my bombers are long and is a little slack but good!

The new ones are. The older ones were only about 150mm.

Isn't the one up there the previous model?

If you want a set of 36 TALAS I've got a pair I'm selling as I've swapped them for Lyriks. Not got round to taking any photos yet, just got in from the garage from fitting the Lyriks they look cool!

If 160mm feels a bit slack, reduce them to 150mm.
