Will I die if I ride tomorrow with a seized top bearing? The bottom one is okay, if a little rough.

Yup! It's a Cane Creek Double Xc, by the way.

Take the seals off and clean it up then regrease. It won't be perfect but it will be a lot better.

It's okay, catastrophe averted: I've managed to free the bearing up, although it is very rough.
I've ordered some more from CR (expecting a hug bike-size box to arrive next week with them in 😯 ), but this should do for tomorrow.
