Hi

I remember reading recently about some headphones that didn't go in your ear, they somehow worked by transmitting the noise from behind your ear (I think). Now I can't find the article... does anyone know what I'm thinking of, and if they're good or not? I figured they would be useful for biking so you can hear what's going on around aswell.

Cheers!

I bought some ear windshield things that held the headphone just outside your ear and supposedly kept the wind noise out. They were rubbish tho tbh - couldn't make them work.

I only ever use headphones on the track tho - headphones elsewhere would either be dangerous or just wrong, imo ๐Ÿ™‚

Apart from last years Wildboar - where music was the only thing that kept me sane at 3 in the morning on yet another fire road.

You could just get a pair designed for running with a neck band - Sennheiser-PMX70 and just leave the volume low.

I use some Sennheiser MX75 twist fit headphones that let alot of noise through (so much so that they are no good at the gym or if you want to block noise out), I wouldnt use my e shure ones or sony ones on the bike though as they block out most external noise. Most of my riding is done solo so a bit of music in the background helps at times (especially in the dark !)
