[#10027736]

After not going for a fair few year 3 or 4 of us are heading back in September.

Have always tried to stay in Y Meirionnyd as it's a lovely hotel, but it doesn't have the rooms we need on our dates.

Can anyone provide some alternatives? Don't mind a cottage or bunk barn as long as it's got parking and and room bile storage and fairly central.

Ty Seren B&B is nice, good bike store.

Royal Ship has a secure car park but not sure about a bike store.

Both in Dolgellau, great for a few beers.

We stopped at cae gwyn farm last year in the bunk house.

Easy ride to/from the trails and about a 15 minute walk to the pub.

We are right in the middle of the trails, wash facilities and secure lockers for your bikes.

We have self catering log cabins and b&b in the cottage, and you can ride from our door straight onto most of the trails here.

Our website is www.mostyncottage.co.uk or feel free to give us a call.

Regards

Keith

We went in April, and stayed at the Holiday Village place up the road nr Trawsfynydd, in one of the log cabins.

http://www.logcabinswales.co.uk/

It was good value & the accommodation was fine. Next time we'll probably book one of the larger cabins & the small ones really are a bit too small.

There's a pub up the hill & apparently you can ride to the trails by going up the hill & following one of the cycle network routes into CyB. We didn't do it, but it looks pretty straightforward.

Or it's a 5 min drive.

Have stayed at the Tyn Y Groes Inn many times. Nice pub and short ride to trails. Google it.

+1 on the log cabins.   https://www.cadairviewlodge.co.uk often have midweek deals , 5 nights for £250.

And yes the cycle route takes you into the back of the forest, halfway round the MBR trail.  Bit of a hill on the way back though.

Another +1 for Cae Gwyn. Camp, bunkhouse or really nice b&b, great location for the trail centre and belting views too.
