[Closed] Have I serviced my forks correctly? (help!)

Just took the lowers off and lubricated the dust wiper seals. Put it all back together and when I compress the fork and release there is a high pitch squealing noise. This only happens when the rebound is set very slow.

I was cautious of over tightening the foot bolts, so could this be it?

(forks- fox float rlc fit 2012)

Many thanks

Have you put oil in the lowers before you fully reassembled?

I'm presuming he did it upside down. PS the squealing should be the footnuts.

Take them off again, check the foam rings and lube the seals. Cycle them while upside down once reasembled.

Thanks guys

Taff- do you think I need to tighten them a little bit more (foot bolts)?

If I speed the rebound up the squealing goes away...
Any further thoughts??

It sounds more oil related. Did you do it upside down? If so how much oil did you lose and did you replace it? Tighten the foot nuts up a little but they don't need to be that tight.
