Bought a new free hub body and pawls and springs kit for my np generator rear hub. In the free hub body kit were two other bits, one was a rubber which obviously is the seal/cover that goes over the pawls but then there was a small thin metal washer about 1mm think. Exact spindle size so I placed this between the free hub body and the hub bearing therefore spacing it off slightly. I'm sure I read somewhere that this washer is for a 10 speed set up. However there wasn't one in there when I stripped it but it could well have been lost during previous cleans.
