...Yeti 575. Mine snapped in half when cycling up hill. It had never been in a crash (as in wrapped round a tree or trown off a cliff). It was alwasys serviced and kept immaculate. It was well in warranty but Yeti's aftersale service was awful and I ended up buying a crash replacement at £500.00.
If you do the same thing and are battling with them, I suggest going through trading standards as they said they would have helped me if I hadn't already brought a new frame, in doing so I had accepted responsability.
Yeti bikes rule but the aftersales and company sucks.
That's shit service the UK importer needs a kicking for that.,
Arse. This is bad. Its also the reason at our size I run something a little beefier.
Any pics of the breakage?
If it snapped at the weld on the dropout, then the fault is well documented on MTBR, and Yeti USA replaced those no questions asked. You shouldn't have to pay for a replacement.
If I was you I'd contact Seth at yeti directly, top bloke.
A mate has crack 2 in the past
We've had two riders here break 575's The last one to go was a 2008 carbon swing arm, it just snapped and the guy could'nt get a replacement.
When I posted that on here most guys jsut said tough 'things break' but I always thought 575's were pretty robust trail bikes not bikes that fell apart on man made stuff.
Although Yeti would'nt have it we all know it just snapped. Pants innit.
The "demo" guys attitude sucks too. He had a go at me after I broke a chain whilst demoing a 575. Would have brought one then and there if I didn't have to deal with the uptight pr**k.
